The Pulsar Krypton 2 FXG50 is out of stock at every supplier we deal with. These are in stock or available to order now.
The Pulsar Krypton 2 is a thermal front attachment that fits in front of your day scope, turning it into a thermal sight while keeping your own reticle and zero.
The Krypton 2 FXG50 pairs a 640×480 thermal sensor with a 50 mm, F1.0 lens, rated to detect a deer-sized animal at up to 2300 m. Expect around 11 h of operation and IPX7 weather sealing.

Key Features
- Compact, balanced design – short and light, so it barely affects the balance of the day scope or spotter it is fitted to.
- Magnesium alloy housing – strong against shock and vibration and helps dissipate electronics heat.
- Up to 11 h on IPS7 – the quick-change IPS7 Li-ion pack can last a whole night.
- Adaptive interface – menu and status bar can be rescaled to stay readable as day-scope magnification changes.
- PSP-B bayonet adapters – a four-point bayonet moves the unit between adapters on different optics with no tools.
- 2300 m detection range – a 12 µm sensor behind a 50 mm lens (FXG50) detects a 1.8 m object at 2300 m.
- Full-HD colour AMOLED – a fast-response display keeps the image smooth when moving or in cold weather.
- Converts to a 3x monocular – adding the 3x20B compact eyepiece turns it into a handheld thermal monocular in seconds.
Best For
- Adding thermal to a day scope you already shoot well
- Switching between day and night use on one rifle
- Fox and pig shooting at medium range

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Pulsar Krypton 2 FXG50 compare with the rest of the Krypton 2 range?
The Krypton 2 line-up: Krypton 2 FXG50 (640×480, 50 mm, F1.0, 2300 m detection); Krypton 2 FXQ35 (384×288, 35 mm, F1.0, 1300 m detection). Larger lenses see further but give a narrower field of view; 640×480 and 1024×768 sensors show more detail than 384×288 at the same distance.
How far can the Krypton 2 FXG50 see?
Pulsar rates it at 2300 m detection for a deer-sized animal — the distance at which the heat source shows on screen. Recognising what the animal is happens closer than that, and rain, fog and high humidity all shorten thermal range.
What do I need to fit it to my scope?
The attachment fits the objective end of your day scope with a Pulsar PSP adapter ring sized to the scope's outer objective diameter, sold separately. Pulsar recommends day optics in the 2-6× magnification range. Check your point of impact after fitting.
How long does the battery last?
Pulsar quotes around 11 h at 22 °C. Battery: Li-Ion Battery Pack IPS 7 / 6400 mAh / DC 3.7 V.
Does it connect to a phone?
Yes. It connects over Wi-Fi to Pulsar's Stream Vision 2 app to stream live view, download photos and video, and update firmware.
Can I use a thermal device for hunting in Australia?
Rules on thermal and night-vision equipment differ between states and between public and private land. Check your state's hunting and firearms regulations, and the conditions of any permit or property access, before using it in the field.
