      Buying ADI POWDER in Australia

      Magnum Sports lists 18 ADI rifle, pistol and shotgun powders, and 16 are available now. ADI powders are made in Australia at Mulwala, NSW, and the range here covers the AR2200 rifle series from AR2205 to AR2225, Benchmark 2 and Benchmark 8208, the APS350 and APS650 pistol and shotgun powders, and Trail Boss.

      Propellant powder is not posted or couriered: it is collected from the Roseville Chase store in Sydney only. You can order online to have a container put aside and pick it up with your other reloading components.

      The APS pistol and shotgun powders are $131, most rifle powders are $170 to $231 a container, and Trail Boss in the 1.5 kg pack is $522.

      Pick the powder by burn rate for your cartridge: AR2206H and AR2208 cover .223, .308 and similar medium cases, AR2209 suits 6.5 Creedmoor, .243, .270 and .30-06, and AR2213SC, AR2217 and AR2225 are for magnums and overbore cartridges.       ADI makes several powders sold overseas under the Hodgdon label: AR2206H is sold as H4895, AR2208 as Varget, AR2209 as H4350, AR2213SC as H4831SC, AR2217 as H1000 and AR2225 as Retumbo. Use ADI's own load data and work up from the starting load.
