Key Features
- Multispectral imaging – switch between full-colour day, twilight and thermal views.
- 4K digital colour sensor – rich colour by day and usable twilight views, helped by the built-in IR.
- Choice of thermal sensor – hD 1280x1024 (DXT50) or high-sensitivity 640x480 (DXR50).
- Image stabilisation – electronic stabilisation keeps high-magnification views steady.
- One-hand operation – dual focus wheels and a layout that suits either hand.
- 1500 m laser rangefinder – scan or single-shot ranging.
- Multispectral PiP – shows digital and thermal channels at once to detect and confirm targets.
- Focusable 850 nm IR – three power levels for total darkness.
Best For
- Day and night glassing with one binocular
- Identifying and ranging game before the shot

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Pulsar Symbion LRF DXR50 compare with the rest of the Symbion LRF range?
The Symbion LRF line-up: Symbion LRF DXT50 (1280×1024, 50 mm, F1.0, 2300 m detection, 1500 m rangefinder); Symbion LRF DXR50 (640×480, 50 mm, F1.0, 2300 m detection, 1500 m rangefinder). Larger lenses see further but give a narrower field of view; 640×480 and 1024×768 sensors show more detail than 384×288 at the same distance.
How far can the Symbion LRF DXR50 see?
Pulsar rates it at 2300 m detection for a deer-sized animal — the distance at which the heat source shows on screen. Recognising what the animal is happens closer than that, and rain, fog and high humidity all shorten thermal range.
How long does the battery last?
Pulsar quotes around 10 h at 22 °C. Battery: Li-Ion Battery Pack APS 5 / 4900 mAh.
Does it connect to a phone?
Yes. It connects over Wi-Fi to Pulsar's Stream Vision 2; Stream Vision Ballistics app to stream live view, download photos and video, and update firmware.
