The Southern Cross Small Arms (SCSA) Taipan X is an Australian-designed and made hybrid rifle that can be run as a spring-assisted pump action or as a straight pull, here chambered in .300 Blackout with a Dark Grey finish. It is aimed at hunters, farmers and sport shooters who want fast manual repeat shots.

It uses AR-15 style controls and magazines, a 419 mm (16.5") stainless barrel threaded for muzzle devices, and an enclosed handguard with a full-length Picatinny rail and M-LOK slots.

  • AR-15 ergonomics – AR-15 compatible magazine well and magazine release, A2-style pistol grip and enhanced straight trigger.
  • Threaded stainless barrel – 419 mm (16.5") stainless barrel threaded 1/2x28 for suppressors and muzzle devices.
  • Rail and M-LOK – Full-length Picatinny top rail and 8 M-LOK slots on the enclosed handguard.
  • TSP X buttstock – Adjustable comb height and length of pull; folding stock adaptor available.
  • Replaceable case deflector – Glass-filled nylon deflector directs spent cases away from the shooter.
