The Redding Neck Sizing Die for the 338 Federal sizes only the neck of the case and is popular with precision handloaders working with brass fired in their own rifle. It is assembled with a decapping rod assembly and neck sizing button.

Neck sizing dies are not designed to adjust shoulder position, and neck-sized cases may not chamber in other firearms of the same calibre. Carbide neck size button kits are available separately for most Redding neck sizing dies.
