The PARD TA32 2.0 is the second-generation TA32 handheld thermal monocular: a compact, pocket-size scanner built around a highly sensitive ≤15 mK 384×288 sensor, so heat signatures stay clear in scrub, timber and humid conditions. It suits hunters, pest controllers and landholders who want a light, quick-to-use thermal that goes everywhere with them.
The TA32 2.0-35 LRF pairs a 35 mm lens and 4.3x base magnification with an official detection range of 1800 m, and adds a built-in laser rangefinder that reads distance out to 1000 m. A removable 18650 battery runs it for up to 5.5 hours, and a sharp 1920×1080 OLED display shows the detail the sensor picks up.

Key Features
- Built-in laser rangefinder – one-press distance readings out to 1000 m without a second device.
- ≤15 mK sensor – a 384×288, 12 µm VOx sensor sensitive enough to separate animals from warm ground and scrub.
- Full HD OLED display – 1920×1080 resolution gives a crisp, detailed picture through the eyepiece.
- 35 mm lens – 4.3x base magnification with 2x / 4x / 6x / 8x digital zoom and picture-in-picture.
- Hot Track – marks the hottest point in the scene so a moving animal is easy to follow.
- Five colour palettes – White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Iron Hot and Sky to suit the terrain and conditions.
- Record and share – photo and video with audio to MicroSD (up to 128 GB) and Wi-Fi to the PardVision2 app.
- Removable 18650 battery – up to 5.5 hours per cell, with USB-C power for a power bank on long nights.
Best For
- Fox and rabbit control – scan paddocks and fence lines, then range the target before the shot.
- Pigs and deer – pick up heat on timber edges, crop margins and creek lines at long distance.
- Property checks and wildlife – monitor stock, check for intruders and watch nocturnal wildlife without lights.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it compare with the rest of the range?
The TA32 2.0 comes in a 35 mm lens only, with or without the laser rangefinder. Against the first-generation TA32, it has a much more sensitive sensor, a Full HD display and longer detection range in a smaller body.
| Model | Sensor | Lens | Detection | LRF |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TA32 2.0-35 | 384×288, ≤15 mK | 35 mm | 1800 m | — |
| TA32 2.0-35 LRF | 384×288, ≤15 mK | 35 mm | 1800 m | 1000 m |
| TA32-35 LRF (1st gen) | 384×288, ≤35 mK | 35 mm | 1400 m (human) | 1000 m |
How far can I actually see an animal?
The 1800 m figure is detection – the point where a heat source first shows up as a few pixels. Telling a fox from a cat, or a sow from a boar, happens much closer in, and humidity, rain and fog reduce range further.
How far will the rangefinder read?
PARD rates the built-in rangefinder to 1000 m. Real-world readings depend on target size, angle and reflectivity – larger, square-on targets range furthest.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 5.5 hours on one 18650 cell. The battery is removable, so a charged spare doubles your night, and the USB-C port will run it from a power bank.
Can I stream or record to my phone?
Yes. The free PardVision2 app connects over Wi-Fi for a live view and to download photos and video from the MicroSD card.
