The Lee 6.8 Western Factory Crimp Die crimps the bullet in place more firmly than other tools, and Lee's testing shows even bullets without a crimp groove shoot more accurately with it.

A firm crimp improves accuracy because pressure must build to a higher level before the bullet starts to move, giving a more uniform pressure curve and less velocity variation. It is a valuable addition for hunting ammunition or where magazine length stops the bullet being seated out to the rifling.
