The Kowa TSN-88S PROMINAR is the straight-body version of Kowa's 88 mm spotting scope. At its heart is an 88 mm pure fluorite crystal objective, which all but eliminates chromatic aberration for vivid, natural colour, and Kowa has upgraded the lens and prism coatings to raise light transmission across the whole colour spectrum.
The body is now 100% magnesium alloy - tougher and lighter than before - and is fully waterproof and nitrogen-sealed, with KR coating on the objective. It is supplied as a body only, so an eyepiece is required.

No. This is the body only; an eyepiece (for example the Kowa TE-80XW, listed by the supplier as compatible with 77, 88 and 99 mm scopes) must be bought separately.
Straight or angled - which should I choose?
A straight body is quicker for finding and following subjects and is easy to use from a vehicle window or when looking down hills; an angled body (TSN-88A) suits sharing between people of different heights and looking upward.
Can I take photos through it?
Yes. Kowa offers dedicated and universal smartphone adapters for the TSN-88 and promotes it for digiscoping.
Is it waterproof?
