This is the ghost ring rear sight fitted to Henry rifles, manufactured by XS Sight Systems and sold under Henry part code HENGRS. A ghost ring gives a fast, uncluttered aperture picture for close work on pigs or goats, and pairs with the XS Lever Rail (sold separately) rather than mounting directly to the barrel.

XS makes this sight in several fitments — Henry .45-70, Big Boy carbines in .357 Mag, .44 Mag and the X Model, each with a screw-on or dovetail front sight option — and OSA lists them under this one generic code.
