The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite Stainless is the weather-proof member of the X-Bolt 2 family, combining a stainless steel receiver and barrel with a black composite Vari-Tech stock. It is aimed at hunters who carry their rifle through rain, salt air and rough country and want minimal upkeep.

This X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite Stainless model is chambered in 7mm PRC – a modern long-range magnum for deer at extended range. It has a 610 mm (24") barrel and holds 3 rounds in the detachable magazine, with a weight of 3.18 kg.

• Stainless steel barrelled action – Matte stainless receiver and sporter-contour barrel resist corrosion in wet and coastal conditions.
• Silver-nitride spiral-fluted bolt – The fluted bolt saves weight and its nitride finish is highly corrosion resistant, with a reshaped handle and knob for easier operation.
• Vari-Tech adjustable stock – Adjust comb height, length of pull and grip angle, with contrasting grey overmoulded grip panels for a sure hold.
• DLX three-lever trigger – No creep, take-up or overtravel, factory set at 3.5 lb (1.6 kg) and adjustable down to 3.0 lb (1.4 kg).
• Stainless radial muzzle brake – Reduces felt recoil and can be swapped for the supplied thread protector.
• Bedded action, free-floated barrel – Bedding at the recoil lug and action screws lets the barrel float for repeatable accuracy.
• Inflex II recoil pad – A 32 mm (1-1/4") Inflex II pad adds comfort with magnum calibres.
• Proven X-Bolt controls – Detachable rotary magazine, top-tang safety with bolt unlock button, 60° bolt lift and X-Lock scope mounting.
