The Athlon Argos G2 UHD 8x42 is a full-size roof-prism binocular built on a lightweight magnesium-alloy chassis and shaped for a secure one-handed grip. Its UHD (extra-low dispersion) glass keeps colour fringing to a minimum, and phase-corrected BaK4 prisms with Athlon's ESP dielectric coating deliver bright, accurate colour.
The lenses are advanced fully multi-coated, and the outer surfaces carry Athlon's XPL coating to protect against dirt, oil and scratches. Argon purging makes the binocular waterproof and fogproof. It gives 124 m of view at 1000 m, 17.3 mm of eye relief and close focus at 4 m, and weighs about 723 g.
