The Allen basic shotgun cleaning kit is made for 12 and 20 gauge shotguns, covering field, clay and general-purpose guns. It gives shotgunners the rod length and gauge-specific components needed to clean a full-length barrel.

A three-piece rod with T-handle assembles to 813 mm (32 in). The rod uses #8-32 threads, while the brushes and swabs use 5/16 x 27 threads, joined by the adapter supplied in the kit.
