Sako

Sako was founded in Riihimäki, Finland in 1921 and remains there today as part of the Beretta group. More than a century on, it is one of the few makers building both rifles and ammunition under one roof — barrels are cold hammer-forged in-house, and Sako cartridges are developed on the same site as the rifles that fire them.

The current range runs from the Sako 90 series — the evolution of the legendary 85, in configurations from lightweight mountain rifles to full-stocked classics — through the modular S20 hybrid, to the TRG bolt guns that have set the standard for factory precision rifles for three decades. Sako ammunition, from Gamehead to Powerhead Blade lead-free, carries the same reputation.
