About Leupold

Leupold & Stevens started in Portland, Oregon in 1907 making survey instruments, and moved into riflescopes after a rained-out hunt ruined a scope in the 1940s. The fix — a nitrogen-purged, sealed tube — became the Plainsman in 1947, the first fog-proof American riflescope, and it set the pattern for everything since. The company is still in Oregon, still associated with the founding family five generations on, with design, machining and assembly done in Beaverton.

The range is deliberately tiered. VX-Freedom is the everyday hunting scope: light, clear, honest value. VX-3HD and VX-5HD step up glass and low-light performance for serious hunters, and the VX-6HD sits at the top of the hunting line. Mark 4HD and Mark 5HD cover precision and tactical work with exposed turrets and reliable tracking. Alongside them sit DeltaPoint red dots, RX rangefinders, BX binoculars and the PRW2 and Backcountry mounting systems.

For most of our customers, Leupold is the safe answer. A hunter who wants one scope that will outlast the rifle, a pest shooter who needs it to hold zero, or a precision shooter who wants turrets that track.

We stock Leupold across the range, including the rings, rails and Backcountry mounts that match Tikka, Remington and other common actions — and we will fit and bore-sight your optic before it leaves the shop. The Lifetime Guarantee needs no registration or receipt.
