The SO Sparviere features a unique, Beretta innovative system to open the two sideplates and get access to the inside firing mechanism.
The classic Beretta sidelocks can be easily and rapidly break open to the side, by actioning the safety/barrel selector.
Past the safety position of the switch, the two sideplates will simultaneously snap into the open position facilitating inspection and maintenance of the locks.
The visible internal parts are superbly finished and engraved by hand.
SO Sparviere: Premium sidelock upland shotgun: The SO Sparviere (Italian for "hawk") is a premium sidelock over-under shotgun conceived for the upland hunter and shooter wanting a heirloom-quality work of art. The action features upward of 100 hours of engraving by masters carrying a centuries-old tradition, while the total absence of visible screws gives the engraving an uninterrupted blank canvas to express its full beauty. Even the visible internal parts are superbly finished and engraved by hand. As with Beretta's premium sidelock shotguns, the SO Sparviere is executed to suit the personal taste and requirements of the owner--from the sophisticated engravings to the gold-inlays to the dimensions of the walnut briar stock.
Unique Hand-Detachable sidelock action: The action of the SO Sparviere features an exclusive system for opening the two sideplates and gaining access to the inside firing mechanism. The classic Beretta sidelocks can be easily and rapidly opened to the side by actioning the safety/barrel selector. Past the safety position of the switch, the two sideplates will simultaneously snap into the open position, facilitating inspection and maintenance of the locks. As a true piece of artwork, the shotgun is engineered so that this action has to be absolutely deliberate, and cannot happen accidentally during a hunt. This action also enables the owner to look at the artistry of the receiver's inner part, which is as much of a marvel as the outside.
A durable, dependable heirloom: The performance and reliability of this sidelock shotgun is the result of the quality of materials used, individual craftsmanship and the precision of the manufacturing processses. Barrels are constructed of cold-hammer forged Boehler Antinit steel, ensuring perfect alignment of the tubes, exceptional strength and long-lasting corrosion resistance. They are carefully tested and checked for ballistic performance and consistency of shot pattern. The ventilated rib is file-cut. To minimize locking stress while shooting, the cross-bolt locking system operates on Monobloc lugs positioned at the height of the upper tube axis. Locking shoulders are replaceable.
Premium stock, custom dimensions: For its stock and fore-end, the SO Sparviere uses only the finest walnut briarwood, selected for its color tones and sturdiness. The client determines the final dimensions, and the wood-to-metal fit is completed with the care of a work of art. The stock may be ordered with a pistol grip or in a straight English fashion; both buttstock and fore-end are then shaped, finished with hand-cut deep diamond checkering and finally polished with oil or wax. The handsome leather carrying case with accessories is standard.
First up - this case is not cheap - but worth every penny if you have a rifle you wish to keep well-protected...
A big, well-padded case with a super-soft internal microfibre to keep the rifle and gear scratch-free, this carry case has an ingenious system of movable velcro straps so you can customise how the rifle sits in the case, along with any accessories to be stored in there with it.
Additionally two large front zippable pockets are excellent for keeping spare parts and accessories in, and the main zips can have a padlock fed through their zip holes for added security.
This is a brilliant case and will keep everything absolutely in order including the scope on the rifle - and you also know its a good case when the store owner uses it himself... ;-) HIGHLY recommended.
Finally picked up - after a five-month PTA wait - my new Howa 1500 with the FDE MDT XRS chassis upgrade and a sweet new long range Nikko Sterling scope on as part of the deal. As always Aubrey and the folks at Magnum were top notch, helping me get the rifle sorted and offering me hints and tips on getting the best out of this new target shooting purchase, plus of course those essential new accessories to get the best out of the Howa. Can't recommend the team highly enough - they genuinely listen and offer the best advice from their years of experience...
Even the best 22LR rifles can be fickle about the ammunition they need to run at their best.
My Anschutz MS54 shoots really tight groups with this stuff. And it’s not expensive…
The guys were really helpful in sorting out a pistol for me and sending it to my closest shop up here in QLD. I would definitely recommend calling and having a chat or drop in if your local. Thanks again guys.
These are the best projectiles. My lithgow 102 topped with a leupold 6HD 4-24 scope with the custom dial is set for these projectiles. I shoot nothing else. They are accurate enough to out shoot others at the range and I can confidently drop a deer out to 400 odd meters with one shot. Highly recommended projectiles
