For pest control and varmint shooting with the 243 Win and other 6mm cartridges, the Sierra #1515 80 grain 6mm (.243) VarmintKing is a spitzer boat tail that trades toughness for rapid expansion. The 80 grain #1515 Blitz is a spitzer boat tail with a thin varmint jacket for the 243 Win and 6mm Rem, giving a flat trajectory and violent expansion on foxes and goats-sized pests at longer range.
VarmintKing bullets are built with a thin jacket and soft core so they expand violently on impact, giving quick, humane kills on small pests and reducing the chance of a ricochet on hard ground. They are not a game bullet: at close range on anything larger than a fox the light jacket will not hold together, so keep them for the pest work they were designed for and match the weight to your twist rate and velocity.
