The CZ 75/Shadow 2 Progressive Recoil Spring delivers noticeably smoother slide cycling and reduced felt recoil compared to the factory constant-rate spring. Progressive winding means the spring resistance builds gradually through the stroke — softer initial travel for faster cycling, with full resistance at the rear to prevent battering. A meaningful performance upgrade that you'll feel from the first round.
Recoil springs are legal in all IPSC divisions including Production, Standard, Classic, and Open. Also compliant with all USPSA divisions. Spring changes are explicitly permitted as a standard maintenance/tuning item across all competition rulesets.
Difficulty: Easy. Field strip the pistol, remove the factory recoil spring and guide rod assembly, swap the spring, and reassemble. Standard field-strip process — takes under 5 minutes with no special tools.
A constant-rate spring has uniform resistance throughout compression. A progressive spring starts softer and builds resistance — giving you smoother cycling, less slide battering, and faster target re-acquisition.
Yes. The progressive recoil spring is a direct replacement that works with the factory guide rod on all compatible models.
Not necessarily. This is a recoil spring, not a hammer spring — it doesn't affect firing pin strike energy. However, if you're also installing lighter trigger springs, an extended firing pin is recommended.
For competition use, inspect every 3,000–5,000 rounds. Replace when you notice sluggish cycling, failure to return to battery, or visible spring fatigue.

A big, well-padded case with a super-soft internal microfibre to keep the rifle and gear scratch-free, this carry case has an ingenious system of movable velcro straps so you can customise how the rifle sits in the case, along with any accessories to be stored in there with it.
Additionally two large front zippable pockets are excellent for keeping spare parts and accessories in, and the main zips can have a padlock fed through their zip holes for added security.
This is a brilliant case and will keep everything absolutely in order including the scope on the rifle - and you also know its a good case when the store owner uses it himself... ;-) HIGHLY recommended.

These are the best projectiles. My lithgow 102 topped with a leupold 6HD 4-24 scope with the custom dial is set for these projectiles. I shoot nothing else. They are accurate enough to out shoot others at the range and I can confidently drop a deer out to 400 odd meters with one shot. Highly recommended projectiles
