CZ

Ceska zbrojovka has been making firearms at Uhersky Brod in the Czech Republic since 1936. Nationalised after the war and returned to Czech ownership in 1992, it now sits inside Colt CZ Group alongside Colt, Dan Wesson and Sellier & Bellot — but the rifles and pistols are still built in the same Moravian factory, and the CZ name on the receiver is the one shooters know.

The CZ 457 is the reason most rimfire shooters know that name. A cold hammer-forged barrel, an adjustable trigger and a bolt that runs properly, in everything from a plain Beechwood sporter to the heavy-barrel Synthetic Varmint. The 600 series brought the same thinking to centrefire, with interchangeable barrels and a factory sub-MOA guarantee. On the pistol side, the Shadow 2 is close to the default choice on an Australian competition line, and the 22LR Kadet conversion makes it cheap to practise with.

That covers a lot of our customers: juniors and pest shooters starting on a .22, hunters wanting a centrefire that will not break the bank, and club shooters who want a pistol they can grow into rather than out of.

We stock CZ because the value is real and the support is there. Spare magazines, Kadet kits and NSW-compliant 10-round options are all available, and we keep the popular 457 and Shadow 2 variants on the shelf where we can.
