Centrefire rifle ammunition in stock today, across the calibres Australian hunters and target shooters actually use — .223 Rem, .22-250, .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win, 7mm-08, .308 Win, .30-06, .300 Win Mag and the larger magnums.
The projectile matters more than the headstamp. Light, fast, rapidly expanding bullets suit foxes and rabbits where you want the energy dumped on the surface. Soft points and bonded designs suit deer, pigs and goats, where the bullet has to hold together and reach the vitals from an imperfect angle. Match hollow points are built for consistency on paper and are not designed as hunting projectiles.
Check your barrel's twist rate against the bullet weight before buying heavies — a slow-twist barrel will not stabilise a long, heavy projectile and no amount of load development fixes it.
Ammunition is collection only from our Roseville Chase store. We do not ship ammunition of any kind. Bring a current firearms licence in the matching category.
