      Buying .380 ACP Pistols in Australia

      Magnum Sports lists 9 handguns in .380 ACP, and none is in stock today; all are available to order. Brands are Walther, Ruger, Glock and Beretta. The .380 ACP (9mm Short) is a compact pistol cartridge with modest recoil, best known in small pistols such as the Walther PPK.

      Handguns are Category H in NSW and need a Category H licence and a PTA for each firearm; since 1 July 2026 a PTA is only issued once you show you meet the safe-storage requirements. Probationary holders are limited to .22 rimfire and air pistols for the first six months. Semi-automatic sport pistols must have a barrel of at least 120 mm and a magazine of 10 rounds or fewer, so check barrel length before applying. Handguns go interstate dealer to dealer for $30.
