The 230 grain #8815 FMJ is the standard 45 ACP competition and practice weight, with reliable feeding a design requirement.

Tournament Master bullets are fully jacketed and non-expanding, designed first for positive feeding in semi-automatic pistols and then for the accuracy competition shooters expect from Sierra. The jacket fully covers the nose, so there is no exposed lead to foul feed ramps, and weight and diameter are held to tight tolerances for consistent groups. They are practice and match bullets rather than hunting projectiles, and the standard weights make working up a load straightforward. Sierra introduced this bullet in 1980.

Specifications

Brand: Sierra Bullets

Sierra product number: 8815

Product line: Tournament Master

Bullet type: Full Metal Jacket (FMJ)

Diameter: 0.4515 in

Weight: 230 grains

G1 ballistic coefficient: 0.140

Material: Jacketed lead core

Box quantity: 100
